Thanks for your support

Just a quick note to say thanks - again! - for all your offers of help & support. With Ruth's parents now living close by it's really a team effort, so we're pretty much covered for practical (and emotional) support.

But I know what it's like - when someone's in need of support you feel you want to offer ... but there's only so many times you feel you can offer it!

I know that Ruth and I are generally rubbish about asking for help, but just because we haven't, absolutely doesn't mean that it's not really appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Chris

What a great idea to start a blog -really convenient for everyone and so 'cool', too! I'm delighted to hear that the op - when it finally happened - went well and I hope that Ruth is as comfortable today as she can be. Please do give her my love and, if she feels up to it, I would love to visit her. (Although she might not feel up to the usual amount of giggling that accompanies our lunches together!) I look forward to hearing that she is making great progress. Do let me know if you need any help with childcare - I promise not to sing to Adam as I did when he was just 2. I think it has traumatised him to this day.
Lots of love from Clare, Mike (in Cambridge), Katharine(in Ducklington), Barnsley the rabbit (eating everything in the garden), George the tortoise (thinking about hibernating - wouldn't that be nice) and the fish (in the pond - I hope). XXX

Hi Ruth, Chris and the mini-gardeners,

Oooh, I feel a bit 21st century blogging!

What a great idea and nice for nosy people like me who want to see what other people have written!

I'm so glad and relieved for Ruth and you all that's its all over, I know it was getting hard to wait, although she's braver than anyone I know, one of life's real stars, and I'm very proud to be her friend, I never thought I'd thank the Certificate in Marketing for anything, but I'm so glad it gave me such a good mate (whoops sorry Ruth your Oxford friends now know your dark marketing secret!!)

I hope she is feeling as okay as she can, and that you are doing okay too.

The spa is all booked and I'm really looking forward to a girly pampering w/e and I'm sure we'll be able to sneak a bottle of wine or two under the health freak radar!!

Really looking forward to a re-match of Chronology some time before Christmas, she said smugly...

Can I send flowers and if so which ward is Ruth in?

All my love and hugs to Ruth
Lots of love to you all, and take care of yourself too Chris,

Love Ali-Pub, Mart and Abbie xxxxx

PS. Tell her I've arranged for a troop of Morris Dancers to come to the JR and dance for her pleasure!!
